Dynamic Web Templates (DWTs)
Also known as Dreamweaver Templates
Winning Solutions, Inc. (WSI), a web company
based out of Fort Myers, Florida (Southeast) and Ames, Iowa
(Midwest) has
been actively involved in creating and developing
Dynamic Web Templates (DWTs) for clients for years.
With a DWT in place, updating content for your
website becomes hassle-free. Because the DWT is a
separate file from the rest of your pages, changing
the look of your site can be achieved without having
to edit each page individually.
Dynamic Web Templates are sometimes referred to as
DWT's or DreamWeaver Templates. There are only
slight differences in HTML syntax between Dynamic Web
Templates and DreamWeaver Templates. In either
case they both serve the same purpose.
Some software programs such as
Microsoft FrontPage,
Microsoft Expression Web,
Adobe's DreamWeaver and
Adobe Contribute allow for
the creation and use of dynamic web templates to design or redesign
an entire website. Minor training may be required
for novice webmasters to fully understand the power of
Dynamic Templates, but this training is typically
minimal. WSI can not only provide you
with support for your Dynamic Template Website, but can
also train you or your staff on how to utilize them.
A Dream Weaver Template can also be used with Adobe's
out-of-the-box
Content Management System called
Adobe
Contribute. Adobe Contribute allows web
masters to create new pages from pre existing templates.
This makes the process of content creation quick and easy.
Copywriters and web contributors can focus on adding
content rather than working with HTML code.
Common Dynamic Web Template Questions
What is a Dynamic Web Template (DWT)?
A DWT is a custom template that is used to
give each page of your website a uniform
look. The template is created using HTML and CSS
coding, and can then be attached to pages within
your website, implementing the template on those
select pages. The DWT can then be edited, and
all pages attached to the DWT are updated as
well.
A Dynamic Template System also helps prevent
novice users from accessing the code that
controls the display of the website. Areas
in the template are marked to show where and
what users can edit and what they can't.
I already have a dynamic web template but it's
broken or I can't figure out how to implement it.
Can you help me?
Anything can be difficult to learn on your
own. WSI offers a full range of
training
options on various subjects including
dynamic web template training. With a short time
with one of our dynamic web template trainers
you can get past the frustration and on to making
your website.
WSI also offers support for all kinds of
technology problems. If you are having
problems implementing your web template, give us
a call or contact us
and let us help you.
How does a Dynamic Web Template (DWT) make my
website easier to update?
Within the DWT, the designer can indicate
what sections or regions of the template are
editable, and deny access to those regions that
the designer wishes to keep un-editable. Now,
when updates need to be made, whoever is
updating the content can only access the
necessary regions of the page, and keeps them
from accidentally deleting an image or vital
piece of code crucial to the design of the page.
Also, if your design changes, it is possible
to update just one file to apply a entirely new
look to your website. This can also be
used as a way to adapt your site to specials
offers or seasonal marketing directions.
What other services do you offer that support

website
redesign. Here are a few of our services
that support Dreamweaver and dynamic web

A Dynamic Web Template (DWT) seems to fit with
my needs. Now what do I do?
It's simple. Just
contact us at
either our Iowa (Midwest) or Florida (Southeast)
office and we'll get started on creating a
Dynamic Web Template specific to your needs.
Although a Dynamic Web Template (DWT) is close
to what I need, is there anything else you would
suggest?
For something that is more focused strictly
on the updating of content on your page, as well
as the organization of that content, you might
be interested in a custom content management
system.

WSI also offers custom application
development, as well as
Microsoft FrontPage and
Macromedia Dreamweaver training.
We like what we see and want to begin a
relationship with you, however, we're located
hundreds of miles away from your office and no where
near Iowa or the Midwest - will this work?
We have had, and continue to develop,
numerous relationships with clients that are
not located around either our Ames Iowa, or Ft.
Myers Florida locations. Some of our clients
are not even in the Midwest or Southeast.
Depending on the scope of the dynamic web
template services required, face to face
meetings are not necessary to develop a custom
DWT implementation plan. Many of our clients enjoy
sitting in the comfort of their own office or
home and conducting a phone or shared desktop
meeting with one of our trainers, developers or
designers.
Our attention to detail and customer service
has helped us deliver many systems without ever
having a face to face discussion with the
client. Contact
either our Midwest (Ames, Iowa) office or our
Fort Myers, Florida location today for a
free consultation or to begin your cut and build
process with us.
